The Californian massage

Gentle, enveloping and fluid, the Californian massage originated in the 1970s. Its long, slow movements are designed to promote overall relaxation and emotional release. It is often an ideal introduction to wellbeing through touch.

Hot Oil Massage

The warmth of the oil relaxes the muscles and allows the hands to glide more easily. Nourishing for the skin, this massage provides a cocoon-like sensation and is particularly suitable for those who are stressed or tired.

Thai massage

A more invigorating technique, Thai massage combines stretching, pressure and joint mobilisation. Performed whilst fully clothed, it works on the body’s flexibility and energy — in contrast to the gentler Californian style.

Tantric massage

Tantric massage emphasises presence, breathing and awareness of the whole body. Contrary to popular belief, it can be entirely non-sexual: its intensity stems from its slow pace and the attention paid to detail.

How to choose?

It all depends on your needs: pure relaxation (Californian, oils), tone and flexibility (Thai) or reconnecting with yourself (Tantric). Read each practitioner’s description carefully and clarify your expectations before the session.
