Septembre est souvent l’un des plus beaux mois au potager belge : la lumière est douce, les nuits fraîchissent, les récoltes d’été continuent tandis que l’automne pointe. Tomates, haricots et courgettes donnent encore, les courges prennent leur couleur, les pommes et les poires se cueillent. On sème les dernières mâches et épinards, on plante les choux de printemps, et on couvre progressivement le sol pour l’hiver.

What september puts on the table
Septembre est le mois le plus riche de l’année dans l’assiette : ratatouille des derniers légumes d’été, premières soupes de courge, tarte aux pommes, poires pochées, raisins et noisettes fraîches. On mange l’été et l’automne dans le même repas.
Living well
La rentrée se vit mieux avec un panier de pommes et le parfum des tomates rôties. Septembre invite à ralentir au jardin : on ramasse, on range, on regarde ce qui a bien marché et ce qu’on fera autrement.
